Using a participatory design approach for co-creating culturally situated STEM enrichment activities

Researchers can use a participatory design approach to produce sustainable interventions that leverage the cultural values and practices of ethnoculturally linguistically diverse populations. PD is underutilized in developmental psychology, but be powerful tool for creating culturally situated bridge gaps research applicability, inclusivity, effectiveness. We provide our narrative grocery store signage promoting early STEM learning predominantly low-income, Latine community. conducted two sessions with team community members (n = 20) learn about their past present intergenerational grocery-shopping experiences integrated into signage.
